Woodbury, nestled in the rolling hills of scenic Middle Tennessee, is the seat of Cannon County, a small rural community with a big arts and crafts heritage. The county’s long tradition of white oak basket and chair-making has gained the attention of collectors and museums worldwide, including the Tennessee State Museum, the Smithsonian Institution and The Museum of Folk Culture in Hunan Province in China.

The Cannon County Festival is Cannon County's nearest event that resembles a county fair. With entertainment venues throughout Woodbury activities usually include the Miss Cannon County Festival Pageant, the Junior Prince and Princess Contest, gospel singing, an art & photography show, a baking contest, a baby show, school contests, games and much more. Two of the ever-so-popular highlights of the Cannon County Festival have been the Color of Fall Car Show on the Historic Cannon County Square, and the Billy Womack Bluegrass Celebration at Dillion Park.
