Trenton is the historic county seat with the Court House built circa 1824. You will find historic homes, a cemetery, a Civil War site and self guided driving tours, along with quaint shops. It is the home of the world's largest antique teapot collection and historic Freed Home.

One of Gibson County's greatest recreational assets is Gibson County Lake. This 560 acre lake is known for its great bass fishing. Pontoon boats are welcome and there is a TWRA owned Bait house facility on site. Picnic areas are available. There are 3 RV camping sites with water and electric hook-ups. Primitive camping is also available.

You can also visit the replica of David Crockett's last home. Contains furniture, tools, original logs and more from the early 1800s, along with his mother's grave. Books on Crockett family, local history, pictures and copies of letters can be seen.

We can now market your Facebook page across our network! Any business of any type is welcome. Read more...

We recommend exploring the following areas to plan your Tennessee vacation: Memphis, Nashville, Gatlinburg, Chattanooga and/or Knoxville.

In addition if you love outdoor adventure, especially whitewater rafting, you have to try the Ocoee River, home to the 1996 Summer Olympics. You'll find it in Polk County! Enjoy!
